OVERVIEW

This is a semi-annual course. It is the continuation of the course "Analisi Matematica 1", with the purpose to provide further instruments in Mathematical Analysis.

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

To provide the main instruments in Mathematical Analysis for functions of two or more variables.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The main objective is to supply the fundamentals of differential and integral calculus for functions of two or more variables, of differential equations and of series. In particular, students are expected to develop the following skills: understanding of the concepts and of the proofs carried out in class, and capability  in solving exercises about the topics dealt with in the course.

PREREQUISITES

The course "Analisi 1"

TEACHING METHODS

Lectures (90 hours), given in the mode that will be decided by the University of Genova.

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

Differential and integral calculus for functions of two or more variables; differential equations; series.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

The exam consists of a written and an oral test. The written test is based on the resolution of problems similar to those carried out during the course. In the oral exam is assessed the understanding of the concepts and reasoning skills acquired by the students, as well as the ability to solve problems relating to the topics dealt with in the lectures.
