The course aims to reconstruct a synthesis of the main evolutionary stages of the economic discipline, reconstructed on the most significant schools of thought
Aim of the course is to give a perspective on the way a number of main economists have reflected on the istitutional factors and on the legal system of their period, in order to frame the question of the market and to propose ways to enhance its efficency and/or to limit its negative aspects in terms of fairness. The intention of the lectures is to present the different methods that the economical science has introduced and the relationship between the market, the individual and the institutions, analysing the main works of some authors. The course aim to provide the student of political science the key coordinates of economy that will help him develop skills to understand the actual world and teach him how to think in a rigorous way around the daily phenomenon discussed by the media. The lectures will also teach the students how to handle the traditional administrative professions.
The course aims to offer a reading of the way in which some great economists of differnet eras have taken in account the insitutional factors and the legal system in force, to frame their rappresentation of the market how to limit negativ effects and improve their efficiency. The aum of the lectures is to present the different ways in which economic science has presented the relationship between the market, the individual and instututions also through their main works. The course therefore intends to provide the studente of political scinece funamental principles of economics thought to understand reality.
No prerequisite is required.

The program address the purpose, method and content of the history of economic thought from 1200 to the present day.
