AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES The aim of the course is to provide the basic mathematical tools employed by the other courses delivered by the Department of Economics at the Bachelor level. AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES Topics are addressed starting from the basics for students from any secondary school . The approach is aimed at encouraging learning. TEACHING METHODS The class is taught through traditional lectures and exercises. The class material is available on aulaweb. SYLLABUS/CONTENT Sets, sets of numbers, the concept of function. Real functions of a real variable: limits, continuity, derivatives and differentials, the study of functions. Real functions of more variables: introduction. Indefinite integral, definite integral, improper integrals. Linear algebra: vectors, matrices, linear systems. RECOMMENDED READING/BIBLIOGRAPHY Textbooks will be eventually suggested at the beginning of the lessons.
