The course aims to: deepen the concept of hydrokinesitherapy as a support tool for the numerous techniques already used in the rehabilitation field; know the general principles of some special massage therapy techniques with their main fields of application
Know the principles of clinical reasoning in various osteo-articular pathologies, including hand problems, acquire the assessment knowledge for the applicability of the various techniques, learn the specific interventions and the main concepts of manual therapy. Knowing elements of occupational therapy and the main types and characteristics of existing prostheses, orthoses and aids. Learn hydrokinesitherapy and special massage therapy techniques with their main fields of application
To be able to :
· Design, manage and integrate hydrokinesitherapy programs
Illustrate the basic methodology in order to learn the best rehabilitation strategies and formulate the rehabilitation courses in water
· Understand the diversity of water rehabilitation compared to traditional rehabilitation
· Learn to manage the intrinsic characteristics of water as rehabilitation tools
The student will have to learn to evaluate and manage the patient in relation to the objectives and the pathology, plan the rehabilitation program in the water.
· Know the general principles of some special massage therapy techniques - manual lymphatic drainage and connective tissue massage
· Know the main indications of some special massage therapy techniques - manual lymphatic drainage and connective tissue massage
Evaluate the indications, contraindications and therapeutic effects.
The course consists of lectures for a total of 10 hours (1 CFU)
Students with SLD, disability or other special educational needs certification are strongly encouraged to contact the teachers at the beginning of the course to agree on teaching methods which, respecting the teaching objectives, take into account individual learning methods and provide suitable compensatory instruments.

The exam will be carried out orally with at least two questions on the topics included in the program
The exam will evaluate the quality of the exposure through the use of the correct specialized vocabulary and will investigate the student's clinical reasoning skills in relation to the topics covered and the knowledge acquired.
Students with SLD or with other regularly certified special educational needs will be able to agree with the teacher the written or oral modality, by contacting the teachers at least 10 days before the exam. They can also take advantage of 30% additional time.
The integrated course is preparatory to the third year internship exam
When a student is a certified LSD, it is required to contact the Referring Teacher of the DISABILITY and DSA Commission for DINOGMI: Prof. N. Girtler (nicolagirtler@unige.it ) and evaluated the single case, he will send to the teachers the necessary directions both for lessons development and for modality of examination
