The aim is to present the main neurological signs and symptoms to students and provide general concepts of the most frequent neurological diseases with particular interest for those involving the visual apparatus and ocular motility.

Elements of anatomy and pathophysiology of the Central Nervous System (CNS) and Peripheral (PNS): - cranial nerves; motor and sensory pathways; motor coordination Clinical features of the most frequent neurological diseases: -Cerebrovascular Diseases -Multiple sclerosis -Neurodegenerative diseases: Parkinson's disease and main forms of dementia. - Headaches and cranial neuralgia - Epilepsy and syncopes - Infectious diseases (ophthalmic herpes zoster) - Intracranial hypertension, trauma, hernias and brain tumors - Neuromuscular diseases with interest for diseases involving ocular motility
