LEARNING OUTCOMES

Deepen the knowledge and ability to use methodologies and techniques, manual rehabilitation protocols and related standardized assessment tools. Acquire skills in the application of knowledge with independent judgment and communication-relational skills in different situations. Acquire specialist professional skills in psychiatric rehabilitation. To achieve operational autonomy within the team work, with application of the methods and techniques to acquire, and to acquire the scientific-methodological rigor in rehabilitative action.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The 3rd year internship aims to:

Implement the skills pursued by the objectives of the second year internship in the various fields.

• To obtain operational autonomy within the team work, with gradual assumption of responsibility in the application of methods and techniques acquired in the training path, so as to implement individual / group rehabilitation programs / interventions, based on the functional diagnosis performed, aimed at functional recovery, the development of skills and the management and / or prevention of disability, with evaluation of outcomes.
• To refine the ethical, deontological and relational skills - including communication skills - towards teams and users (in establishing and maintaining relationships with the person, his family and the social context).
• Implement the theoretical knowledge and acquire competence through practical experience with techniques, ebm rehabilitation methods and case management.
• To acquire and demonstrate the ability to identify problems and make decisions to effectively solve complex problems / situations, to formulate professional judgments

The 3rd year Internship then helps to acquire knowledge and / or operational competence for the expected learning outcomes declined in the following areas:

Therapeutic-rehabilitation area

• to identify the physical, psychological and social needs that can be recovered and evaluate the need for help of people of different ages, culture and health status in the various social areas, integrating theoretical knowledge with practical ones, and responding to them
• to perform autonomously the functional evaluation of psychological, psychiatric and social disorders in the different ages of life (evolutionary, adult and senile)
• to perform psychopathological, functional and cognitive assessment through standardized tools in the context of psychosocial rehabilitative treatment
• indicate rehabilitation needs that require preventive and rehabilitation skills in the individual specialized sectors (psychological, psychiatric, neuropsychiatric, geriatric area)
• to increase the ability to plan and carry out the rehabilitative intervention according to the project, identifying the methods and times of application of the different rehabilitative techniques, in consideration of the relative indications and contraindications, with a view to a global and / or analytical approach, however functional to solve the problem
• to carry out psychoeducational and therapeutic-rehabilitative interventions aimed at individual users, families and groups of users and / or families aimed, as far as possible, self-management of the disorder, treatment and rehabilitation
• to have fully acquired the ability to collaborate in the evaluation of the results of the habilitation and rehabilitation program in the individual subjects in relation to the pre-established objectives and the social context
• to know how to operate to recover the highest level of psychosocial functioning possible through the reduction of disability and the increase in contractual capacity and personal value (empowerment)
• to be able to work with the families and with the social context of the subjects in order to counter the stigma and encourage reintegration into the community with the highest level of social integration possible.

Scope of prevention

• to have acquired the ability to identify the preventive and rehabilitative needs of the subject through an assessment of clinical data that takes into account the psychological, psychiatric, psychomotor, cognitive and functional changes, the magnitude and significance of the symptoms
• to monitor, to prevent, to face critical situations related to the clinical aggravation of the person by promptly activating, when necessary, other professionals
• to be able to carry out health education interventions aimed at healthy people and groups and therapeutic prevention / education interventions aimed, as far as possible, for self-management of the disease, treatment and rehabilitation.

Ethical-deontological and professional responsibility

• to take responsibility and respond to your work during professional practice in accordance with the profile, the code of ethics and ethical and legal standards
• to be able to decide on appropriate interventions that take into account legal, political, geographical, economic, ethical and social influences
• to act in a manner consistent with the disciplinary, ethical and deontological principles of the profession of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Technician in the assistance situations foreseen by the training project and in relation to the responsibilities required by the educational level

• to develop responsibility for their professional development and to respond to the continuous evolution of knowledge in the psychopathological and therapeutic rehabilitative field
• to use appropriate communication methods in the multi-professional team, actively participating in meetings and service activities with their own contribution of knowledge and experience
• to develop training-oriented teaching skills, including updating related to one's professional profile.

TEACHING METHODS

The 2nd year internship consists of 27 CFU, each CFU requires 25 hours of compulsory attendance.

Attendance at internships assigned in two different periods: January / February and May / June / July (first two weeks of September for possible recoveries of absences of both periods, to be carried out in the last place of training attended). Each student is assigned an internship training guide. Use of self-learning contracts and plans in order to make the student responsible for the planning of their own traineeship path, self-assessment, self-training and updating skills. Traineeship clinical journal and experiential report. Self-assessment of the experience by the student. Learning contract. Internship with experiences supervised by tutors and with increasing assumption of autonomy and responsibility. Debriefing sessions to reflect and re-work experiences of professional practice: individual interviews with the teaching tutor and / or the director of professional teaching; in the classroom, debriefing of the group experience, with discussion of clinical cases, of professional and relational paradigmatic situations. The direct experience of internship does not provide for texts. However, students are encouraged to research scientific articles, texts or evaluation tools during the course, so as to deepen through the study and independent research topics of particular interest to the individual student, in the face of curiosities emerging from concrete experience, possibly even not yet addressed in theoretical lessons.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

The verification of the achievement of the expected learning outcomes will take into account the self-assessment of the student carried out during and at the end of the experiential path, the evaluation of the experience by the training guide (s) and the tutor, as well as the director of the professional teaching also through evaluation feedback during the internship (through structured assessment sheets and clinical reports on professional practice), the results of the exam tests and the final internship. Particular attention will be paid to the acquisition of professional skills according to the expected learning, the autonomy of judgment, the ability to self-study and to apply knowledge through the approach to the clinical case, the solution of a problem with respect to situations. paradigmatic of the profession, the ability to consciously and critically re-elaborate the experience, the ability to communicate in the oral interview and the acquisition of transversal professional skills, such as the active participation in the work sessions, the ability to comply with the requests, the punctuality in the delivery of educational material, punctuality and quality in the presentation of the works.

FURTHER INFORMATION

To access the internship experience, the badges relating to the Prevention and Safety elements module must be obtained by the end of February.
Rules for attendance: in case of absence, you must always inform in advance your training guide, whether the absence is due to health reasons or to others, for example exam. On the signature sheet, however, the day will be marked indicating the reason for the absence and zero hours.
For absences of more than one day, as well as notifying the guide, it will be necessary to notify the tutor and / or director of the professional activity via e-mail communication. For reasons other than illness, the adequacy of the request will first be examined. It is allowed to decide to stay at home the day before an exam is taken, especially if it is particularly onerous, in addition to the day of the exam itself, but anyway it must be taken into account.
It is not possible to recover hours of absence on other days of training, stopping for more hours than those provided by the P.F.O. (training and orientation project)
The delivery of signatures certifying the attendance and other teaching materials, such as the clinical / experiential internship diary, duly completed, is weekly and takes place at the coordination office on Friday afternoons or Monday mornings, when not during laboratory meetings. professional or individual interviews
