OVERVIEW

This course deals with legislative, jurisprudential and doctrinal concerning the electronic communication and new technologies law, so as to provide the daily tools to assess the risks and consequences of actions by means of computer tools and the Internet, both civilians, whether criminal, and administrative.

The course aims at providing a general overview of the legal framework and juridical predicaments of electronic communication

The course aims the deepening of all major areas of law of electronic communications such as: protection of copyright for musical works, filmographic, including multimedia objects and on the Internet. defense of personal identity on the Internet and discipline of social networks, the role of AGCOM, protection of freedom of expression, computer forensics, cryptography, digital signatures, information technology, computer crimes, Privacy Policy, Network Security, Law telecommunications, government, e-governance and e-government.
It is recommended attending the course.

Lectures in plenary, with final thesis chosen jointly by teacher and student before the oral exam

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

Having dealt with the evolution of the phenomenon of global governance and national Network, with its issues of domain names and trademark protection, are reviewed the role of AGCOM in the discipline of the new media, the Agency's function Italy Digital and related digitization of PA in internal relations with citizens and businesses, the various encryptions involved in the process of digital signatures, the Pec and the role of certifiers and ISPs, the technical network illegal and examination to date of the related offenses provided for by the Italian legal, the protection of copyright, as well as media research, retrieval and analysis of digital evidence in the light of the best practices in the field of digital forensics. To this add after the examination of the current rules governing the right to protection of personal data, with particular emphasis on digital security issues

EXAM DESCRIPTION

Written essay and oral exam.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

The oral examination, to develop in the dates of appeals, must be precedes, both for the frequenting ones, and for the not frequenting, from a tesina of 10-12 pages in Times New Roman body 12, with notes to foot of page in body 10, regarding one of the aspects object of the course, to send to the teacher at least 2 weeks before the anticipated date for the oral appeal. The elaborate  can be sent by e-mail to elena.bassoli@unige.it. or to studiolegalebassoli@gmail.com
The two weeks are necessary for the correction of the elaborate one from the teacher and to allow the student to correct the imperfections before reaching the date of appeal.
The oral one will be composed of 3 questions, where the first one will be on the elaborate writing and the others two on other matters object of the course and essays in the book of text.
