    AIMS AND CONTENT

    AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

    Promoting awareness about the relevance of “Medical Humanities” in the development of the training course of the health professional.

    In particular, the course aims to:

    • promote knowledge of the ethical principles and rules relating to the exercise of the nursing profession;

    • provide the critical and methodological tools necessary to address the various bioethical issues relating to the protection of health and respect for the assisted person

    • provide correct tools for approaching and managing the various problems concerning the relationship with the assisted person, with particular regard to  building of a adequate relationship, and a "humanization" of medicine.

    • develop a critical analysis of the implications of the various issues relating to early life, reproductive technologies, pain treatment and end-of-life choices.

    TEACHING METHODS

    Frontal lessons.

    The module includes  lectures, seminar sessions, complemented with small group activities in the classroom, film views and discussion.

    In the event of a health emergency, the lessons will be carried out remotely using the Office365-Teams platform in synchronous or asynchronous mode.

    •Bioethical principles

    • The relationship between team-assisted person

    • From "tu cure" al "to care"

    • Informed consent and responsible choice

    • Ethics of responsible procreation and voluntary termination of pregnancy

    • The moral status of the embryo

    • Sexuality and procreation

    • Conscientious objection

    • End of life choices

    • Humanization of medicine
