The main aim of the course in Technic Analysis in Sportsis to give the students the basis to design and implement qualitative and quantitative evaluations of the motor performance, with the final goal of improving the sport performance. The approach will be that typical of the scientific methods.
At the end of the course the student should know:
Classes (25%), problem based learning (25%), laboratories (50%).
Classes: scientific methodologies applied in sport field; basis of statistical methodologies; how to read the scientific sport literature; technologies to capture and analyze movement kinematics; how to evaluate movement from a qualitative and quantitative point of view; which kind of movement, motion environment, how to provide feedback by means of images and video; knowing proper movement dynamics.
Laboratories: use of biomedical technologies such as infrared motion capture, electromyography, platform for postural analysis, accelerometers, transcranial magnetic stimulation, sensor-engineered glove to acquire finger movements, graphic tablet to acquire planar arm’s movements and software for video-analysis.
Group activities: solving a problem shared with the other courses.
