The course of clinical pathology II, III and immunohematology concerns the study of markers of various types of diseases, the study of tests useful for transfusions and organ transplants and the conservation of blood components
Acquire the main notions about the meaning of some groups of disease markers, tissue compatibility and autoimmune diseases. Acquire basic notions of immunology, genetics, which allow understanding of the tests used in transfusion centers
The course will provide students with the knowledge to understand the meaning of the variances of various groups of disease markers, their clinical correlations and the appropriateness of the prescription. Furthermore, students will be provided with the notions necessary to understand the functioning of organ compatibility and the tests that are carried out to evaluate it. Finally, the course will provide students with the knowledge necessary to understand the functioning of the tests that are used in transfusion centers, both for transfusions and in other clinical conditions in which these tests can be used.
Basic knowledge in biology, anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, general pathology and pathophysiology
The lessons are held frontally and interactions with students will be sought as much as possible. In consideration of the health situation in our country, the lessons can be delivered online, possibly via live streaming.
