The deep knowledge provided in this course will be fundamental for the full understanding of laboratory medicine and then in the activities in clinical and experimental laboratories. AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES The full knowledge of the pathophysiological alterations and immune system pathologies allows to understand the fundamentals of laboratory medicine, facilitating the interpretation of clinical data in the context of the organ/apparatus dysfunctions. This knowledge, complemented by the knowledge of the pathogenetic mechanisms of diseases acquired in the first module of the annual teaching, prepares future professionals in clinical/diagnostic and research laboratories. TEACHING METHODS 48 hours of lectures with multimedia presentations SYLLABUS/CONTENT Anemias Hemostasis and thrombosis Hemorrhagic diathesis: congenital and acquired alterations.
