    OVERVIEW

The Navy Ships teaching aims to provide students with the basis to
understand of the specific design problems of navy ships. In particular,
the theoretical bases of protection against non-contact underwater
explosions and the design application to the different types of ships
    and systems are discussed.

    AIMS AND CONTENT

    LEARNING OUTCOMES

The teaching aims to illustrate the main types of surface and underwater
military units. The teaching deals with the main engineering problems
related to military constructions: buoyancy, stability, choice of the
propulsion system, dimensioning of plants and structures.

    AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The teaching provides students with the basic concepts for designing the
Military Ship. At the end of the teaching, the students will be able to
understand the operational requirements and critically discuss the
different design solutions in the military sphere.

    PREREQUISITES

Knowledge of the fundamental subjects of naval engineering: naval
architecture, shipbuilding, ship statics, propulsion plants.

    TEACHING METHODS

The teaching includes lectures and assignments.

    SYLLABUS/CONTENT

The lessons include the following main topics:
    Sea Power.
