    Basic knowledge on: the slope-deflection method and matrix analysis for the solution of statically indeterminate frame structures; the inelastic analysis of materials and structures; the stability of structures.

    Course material: the slope-deflection method for the solution of statically indeterminate frame structures; introduction of matrix analysis for the solution of statically indeterminate frame structures and applications with a numerical code; inelastic analysis of structures: uniaxial elastic-plastic constitutive model, incremental and limit analysis of trusses, beams and frames; introduction to the stability of structures: Euler beam and column strength curves for imperfect elastoplastic beams.
