The course is divided into two modules. The first module describes energy sources and their final uses with a special emphasis on the fundamentals of nuclear power plants engineering; the second part of the module is developed by means of balance equations (mass, energy, entropy and exergy), fluid property equations and closure relationships. The outcome of the Heat Transfer module is to provide, through theoretical lessons and numerical exercises, an advanced knowledge of the main fundamentals of heat transfer involved in applications and processes of interest for the mechanical engineer.
