CODE 95252 ACADEMIC YEAR 2022/2023 CREDITS 7 cfu anno 2 PROGETTAZIONE DELLE AREE VERDI E DEL PAESAGGIO 9006 (LM-3) - GENOVA SCIENTIFIC DISCIPLINARY SECTOR ICAR/15 LANGUAGE Italian TEACHING LOCATION GENOVA SEMESTER 1° Semester MODULES Questo insegnamento è un modulo di: LABORATORY OF PLANNING AND MANAGMENT OF URBAN GREEN TEACHING MATERIALS AULAWEB AIMS AND CONTENT AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES At the end of the course, the student must prove to be able to: 1 Understand the proposed design theme and its specific objectives, 2 Recognize the geographical, social and historical-cultural context of reference, 3 Identify the elements of the context useful for design purposes and interpret them through a design strategy, 4 Identify the relationships with the site the design project will establish, 5 Solve a complex landscape architecture design project and develop it in a coherent way at different scales, in its aesthetic and formal, functional, ecological and constructive aspects, 6 Properly describe the project designed in the studio, motivating the design choices in relation to the main themes of the contemporary debate in landscape architecture. TEACHING METHODS The course consists of theoretical lessons, seminars and site visits to support a design project. Students will work in groups of two or more students. Continuous discussions with the instructors will accompany the elaboration of the design project and will be instrumental in verifying its progress. SYLLABUS/CONTENT The studio is characterized by a multi-scalar approach. The aim is to enable students to carry out a design project for a public park in complex urban conditions and in response to the central themes of the contemporary theoretical debate on landscape architecture. In this regard, the course will address the following issues: the role of open spaces in establishing new urban relationships; the role of public open space as a driver for urban regeneration and redefinition; the role of open spaces in the sustainability of urban transformations; the relationship between a landscape architecture design project and the site.
