CODE 99098 ACADEMIC YEAR 2022/2023 CREDITS 10 cfu anno 2 INGEGNERIA CIVILE 10799 (LM-23) - GENOVA SCIENTIFIC DISCIPLINARY SECTOR ICAR/02 TEACHING LOCATION GENOVA MODULES Questo insegnamento è composto da: HYDROLOGYII RIVER ENGINEERING AND BASIN MANAGEMENT TEACHING MATERIALS AULAWEB OVERVIEW The module of HYDROLOGY II deals with topics related to inflow-outflow hydrologic modeling with particular reference to flood hydrology and extreme statistical hydrology (rain and flow). The module of RIVER ENGINEERING AND BASIN MANAGEMENT aims at providing the basic knowledge for river engineering both in torrent and mild slope river settlement. Particular attention is posed on the engineering design features, the interaction between river and structures and river ecosystem. AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES The module of HYDROLOGY II aims at improving the knowledge of the hydrologic modelling. Particular attention is given to the frequency analysis of extreme events (storm and flood). The learining outcomes of the RIVER ENGINEERING AND BASIN MANAGEMENT module relate to the acquisition of knowledge concernisediment transport phenomena (erosion and deposition) in watercourses; the planning and design of the main river engineering structures and water flow control structures; PREREQUISITES There are no specific prerequisites, if not the basic knowledge of hydraulics and hydrology.
