AIMS AND CONTENT
To provide the basis of the structural optimization methods, focusing in particular on topology optimization and its application to additive manufacturing. To introduce the basics of a commercial software tool to perform topology optimization applied to practical cases.
AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES
This module is intended to give the fundamentals of design tools for additive manufacturing, in particular the structural and topology optimization.
The module is structured into theoretical and practice lectures, as well as laboratoris wath a topology optimization commercial software.
Part B.2: Topolgy Optimization
- Computational Tools for Design Analysis and Optimization of AM Parts (Topology Optimization, Parametric or Size Optimization).
- Lecture notes and video tutorials provided by the lecturer (available on AulaWeb).
