AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The module aims to provide basic knowledge of classical physics relating to the statics and dynamics of fluids, thermodynamics and mechanical waves

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The main objective of this course is to study the elementary fluid mechanics, the basics of thermodynamics and to learn the wave equation.

TEACHING METHODS

The  general idea behind this study is to start from simple  examples and 

to generalize to the most important ideas of the program.

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

Static of fluida

Bernoulli equation

Equation of the ideal gas of state.

Kinetic theory.

Heat conduction.

Zero law of thermodynamics.

First law of thermodynamics.

Second law of thermodynamics.

Carnot Cycle.

Entropy.
