To find the answers to the questions of the adults «we need to question» the children through the observations(Anne Marie Fontaine, 2011).
Participation in this workshop stimulates the acquisition of those skills useful for monitoring the development of boys and girls in the 0-3 range.
The laboratory aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills to use some observational tools for providing information on several specific domains of development in children aged 0-3 years.
At the end of the laboratory, students are requested to:
- distinguish between free and guided observation
- set up an observation sheet
- use a standardized tool to monitor diverse developmental domains
- use the information obtained from the observation work in order to support the development of boys and girls
Brief frontal lesson and majority of Individual and group works.
Free and guided observation, construction of an observational scale, use of a standardized scale, observation and promotion of development.
