    OVERVIEW

    This module is co-built starting from students’ interests. Not only does if focus on the passive acquisition of grammar structures and notions, but it aims to raise awareness as to the importance of the communicative and pragmatics competence when learning a foreign language.

    AIMS AND CONTENT

    LEARNING OUTCOMES

    Acquire and consolidate the fundamental foundations of the language in order to be able to understand and express themselves at a level A1-A2 according to the CEFR.

    AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

    To get, consolidate or delve into Spanish language-related knowledge, skills and competence, in its variety, particularly focussing on the students’ interests and level.

    Expected learning outcomes:

    To acquire communicative skills and competence in Spanish, keeping into account social functions and mediation activities.

    To live a positive experience while learning a foreign language.

    To carry out a mediation and collaborative learning experience, working in groups.

    PREREQUISITES

    None.

    TEACHING METHODS

    Contact hours (face to face, if the pandemic conditions allow them).

    First term: lab held by Gloria Julieta Zarco

    Second term: lab held by Mara Morelli.

    Tutor: Erica Benassi

    SYLLABUS/CONTENT

    Reading, listening and understanding of audios, videos, texts, websites, portals will be the main activities. Communicative strategies as well as structural and lexical aspects will be highlighted. Topics will be in close connection with the course aims and students’ interests.

    RECOMMENDED READING/BIBLIOGRAPHY

    References will be given according to the students’ interests and contents dealt with.

    Ad hoc materials for Specific Learning Difficulties students will be indicated according to their specific needs and their Spanish language level. For this reason, it is extremely important that these students contact the teacher (see below for the address) AT THE BEGINNING of the term.
