Acquire the knowledge necessary for the distinction between qualitative and quantitative research in the field of health professions. Apply this knowledge in scientific reasoning to use the most suitable methods to study the two types of research. Evaluate the quantity and quality of the methods used in the main diagnostic techniques applicable in the health professions.
Frontal lesson in presence or online, and available on AulaWeb, according to University’s anti-COVID instructions.
Notes on the main statistical tests and algorithms (including machine learning) used to validate the hypotheses formulated through the use of qualitative and quantitative research. How to create a clear and complete graphic representation of the results obtained, and in particular of the tools capable of simultaneously displaying several variables with two and/or three-dimensional diagrams (Volcano plot, Heatmap, Correlogram, and scatter plot).
