The teaching of Cardiology aims to provide students of the Degree Course in Physiotherapy with a basic knowledge of the cardiovascular system and its pathologies; in particular, the student will have to acquire the basic knowledge for the safe management of the subject with clinical problems associated with diseases of his heart vessels and / or with structural heart disease during physical training.

The proposal of this Teaching is to:
To make known the bases of pathophysiology of the cardio-vascular system, of the coronary system and of the pressure changes under stress, of ischemic heart disease, of myocardial infarction, the main cardiovascular diseases and the guiding signs, the main diagnostic methods,
Make known the most important and representative risk factors associated with the development of coronary vascular disease,
Provide a general knowledge of the mechanisms and manifestations of congenital and acquired cardiovascular diseases.
Gain confidence in performing a standardized aerobic exercise modality to derive clinical information.
Each student will have to acquire the basic knowledge for the safe management during physical training of the subject with a suspected or known associated cardiovascular condition.

Quiz: Multiple-choice questions
The test will integrate questions from all the courses that belong to the integrated course. The student will have to answer 31 questions divided by disciplines, with 4 possible answers, of which only one is correct. "All of the above" and "none of the above" are not accepted answers. Those who have answered 31/31 questions correctly will be awarded honors in addition to the grade.
Students with SLD or other regularly certified special educational needs will be allowed to choose with the teacher whether to perform the test in writing or oral modality, by contacting the teacher at least 10 days before the exam. They can also take advantage of a 30% additional time.
