Early intervention makes possible supporting the patient in preserving self-esteem and abilities, helping to prevent demoralization and self-esteem loss, so that he exercises a form of empowerment. Identifing the aspects that characterize the onset of the disorders before they stabilizeis important to apply this preventive approach. AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES Know the theoretical basics, cognitive-behavioral techniques and develop the skills for their application in psychiatric rehabilitation, deepening knowledge of the organization and network of services, major EBP rehabilitation treatments and scientific evidence including Social skills training , Problem solving, IPT as well as the early rehabilitation methodology in psychiatry. AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES This course aims to provide knowledge on the main methods and techniques of early rehabilitative intervention, with particular reference to the psychotic onset. At the end of this course the student will be able, on the basis of the main national and international experiences, to show knowledge of the theoretical basis of high-risk mental states and psychotic onset, in their development and evolution, listing their risk factors. and basic symptoms. The student will show that he has made the knowledge that underlies the design and organization of an Early intervention Service, describing its general characteristics analytically; in the light of the most recent conception of mental illness and of preventive modalities in dealing with it, to illustrate the interventions and treatments used, rehabilitation and support both individual and group, describing the specific techniques and tools of evaluation. The student will have to show his / her orientation in the overview of the recent contributions of scientific research in the field of scientific evidence and psychosocial treatments on psychotic onset, with reference to his hereditary bases and to his instrumental evaluation. In the exposition of all the discussed topics it will be necessary to show that you have acquired and will use the terminology and the appropriate TEACHING METHODS Teaching consists of frontal lessons, divided into three parts for a total of 10 hours.
