The 36 hour course includes tourism and business themes specifically designed to develop speaking skills. The lessons will be in German and attendance is strongly advised.
The teaching objective is to examine vocabulary and texts in German-Italian from a range of different sectors (economy, tourism and politics)
The main aim of the course is to perfect understanding and speaking skills.
This practical specialist course will allow the student to interact orally in professional situations and understand the main economics/business issues, with particular reference to business, economics and tourism vocabulary.
At the end of the course, the student
- will have acquired the ability to analyse German language varieties in the fields of economics and tourism,
- will be able to understand and produce various texts at a specialist level in the areas mentioned above,
- will have acquired a basic knowledge of the German economy and geography
- will be able to appropriately apply within the German market
The requirement is German at level B2.1 of the European Language Framework.
Lessons, group work, presentations, individual preparation, company case studies. Attendance is highly recommended.
Consolidation and extension of the language of business and economics through analysis of varyious text types, with particular focus on Italy and Germany. Exercises, reading and conversation in German.
Typical course topics include: markets, types of company, financial statements, the labour market, the role of the state in the economy, taxation.
