AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES The aim of the course is to provide students with a in depth knowledge about port economics, ports economic structure and the main trends in ports policies from an European perspective. AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES The course provides a in depth knowledge of the maritime macroeconomic framework of reference and focuses on the geographical and territorial aspects of maritime transport at different scales, deepening the geography of maritime transport, the economy of port regions and the role of port cities in global networks. The course objectives include the development of social interactions involving a collaborative attitude, constructive communication, within different environments and the strengthening of autonomous decision-making TEACHING METHODS Classroom lectures, case studies, seminars, work group. The teaching methods include a balance of lectures and case analyses to be analysed by applying the methods described in the lecture.
