The course is aimed at presenting the main biomolecular typing techniques currently used in Pathological Anatomy mainly but not limited to Precision Medicine and individualized therapies.
At the end of the course the student will acquire knowledge on the main molecular markers of diagnosis, prognosis and therapeutic indication currently used in a Precision Medicine context. The student will also acquire skills on the main investigation methods for the aforementioned markers and on the organization of workflows in a molecular pathology laboratory
The student will acquire expertise in the management of the molecular pathology laboratory connected to pathological anatomy, in the pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical phases including quality controls on the main investigation systems and on the biological and clinical characteristics of the main markers
