AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The aim of the course is to provide the general principles of transmission and management of the most relevant infectious diseases in terms of epidemiology.

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

The topics of the lesson will concern some infectious diseases that, due to their epidemic impact, represent the core of the discipline (Meningitis, HIV, sepsis, infections during pregnancy), as well as emerging and re-emerging infections (tuberculosis, malaria, SARS-CoV-2).

ASSESSMENT METHODS

Assessment of correct understanding of the topics covered takes place during the oral examination. The examination, coordinated and carried out concurrently by the teachers of all the disciplines of the Course, allows for the verification of the student's ability to analyze and synthesize interdisciplinary topics.
