Provide the basic knowledge related to applied thermodynamics , the heat transfer , fluid dynamics and thermodynamic principles of environmental conditioning .
The student should acquire the capability of: resolving simple energy balance for closed systems and control volumes, at steady state conditions; evaluating thermodynamic and thermal properties of simple fluids, such as perfect gasses or homogeneous liquids; describing the basic energy conversion processes; calculating heat flux and heat flow rate in simple geometries and calculating pressure drop in pipes.

APPLIED PHYSICS 1
The written test verifies the student's ability to solve problems in Technical Physics and Heat Transfer. It is a threshold to access the oral exam.
The oral exam is aimed at ascertaining the learning of the theoretical bases, presented during the course. The evaluation of the student is carried out during the oral exam and it is based on the ability to describe autonomously, with coherence and properties of terms, the topics and demonstrations presented in class.
