The teaching unit aims at providing the basic concepts on transport systems and logistics systems.
Particular attention will be paid to maritime transport and logistics port operations.
In particular, the teaching unit provides the capability to represent, simulate, and optimize goods and people flows in both the "sea side" and "land side" of port terminals.

Lectures consist of classes (60%) and laboratory activities (40%)
Working students and students with certified SLD (Specific Learning Disorders), disability or other special educational needs are advised to contact the teacher at the beginning of the course to agree on teaching and examination arrangements so to take into account individual learning patterns, while respecting the teaching objectives.

The exam will consist of a test on theory (weight: 1/3 of the final mark) and practical activity on the simulations (weight: 2/3 of the final mark).
