The course is organized in two modules.
The first module introduces the student to the study of fluid mechanics, showing the equations that control the motion of a fluid and obtaining some particular solutions of the hydrodynamic problem in order to provide the essential skills that are necessary to face practical problems.
The second module introduces the student to the study of the processes that control the duilution of a passive contaminent in a fluid, showing the equations controlling the dilution process, considering the differen mechanisms at work and obtaining some particular solutions of the dilution problem in order to provide the esential skills that are necessary to face practical problems.
