AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The Drawing module is intended to provide a preparation for graphics processing of project ideas for the correct two-dimensional representation of the figures three-dimensional space and the knowledge of the legislation relating to the drawing and the specific applications of the drawing in various professional fields.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The drawing course intends to pursue two main objectives:

"first is to represent with accuracy, on the drawings that do not have that two dimensions, objects that have three and which are susceptible of rigorous definition. From this point of view, is a language necessary to'man of genius that conceives a project, to those who must dirigerne l'execution and finally to artists who must perform the different parts. The second objective of descriptive geometry is to be assumed from the exact description of the bodies, everything that results from their forms and their respective positions" G. Monge 1799.

The course of Computer Aided Design aims to provide the basis for a correct graphic design by'use of IT tools.

TEACHING METHODS

The theoretical lessons find practical application and subsequent verification in exercises conducted in the classroom on topics where possible, inspired by elements or architectural components

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

Theory and history of the methods of representation. The drawing as a projection. Introduction and outline of the history and evolution of descriptive geometry

Orthogonal projections. The reference elements, representation of point straight, and plan. Membership conditions, perpendicularity and parallelism. Representation of plane figures: tilting plans, homology of overturning, problems of true greatness. The solids, definition and their. Solids dissected by the plans, true greatness of sections obtained; solid of revolution; the cone and the cylinder the tapered sections. The theorem of Pascal. Intersection of solids; the times simple and composed.

Projections quoted. The reference elements, representation of point straight, and plan. Representation of straight lines accidents parallel and perpendicular. Representation of plans and their intersections. Outlines on the quoted plane and representation of the ground level curves and their applications in the building field.

Axonometric Projections. The reference elements, axonometry perpendicular and oblique. Identification, by overturning of the axs assonometrici and units of measure isometric. The assonometrie conventional orthogonal (isometric, dimetrica and trimetrica) and conventional oblique (Military monomeric and dimetrica Cavaliera). The theorem of Polhke. The'axonometry and its applications: assonometrie transparent, from below, split and exploded views).

Theory and History of Computer Graphics. Evolution of the traditional representation in informatics representation with the illustration of the main definitions concerning the two-dimensional drawing, trimensionale and bitmap.

CAD drawing. Illustration and execution of the techniques of Computer Aided Design CAD software.

EXAMS

EXAM DESCRIPTION

The examination is articulated in two tests: a written and an oral examination; both tests focus on'graphic performance of topics of descriptive geometry carried out a lesson. If, during the'year, the student has passed a series of written tests intermediate, the written test (one per session) can not be addressed.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

During the exercises will be elaborated a series of tables that the teacher will withdraw and after they are correct, will evaluate. The tables are then returned to the students.
