The course aims to introduce the foundation for web programming. Furthermore, basic concepts to the representation of information will also be introduced. Learning suited methodologies and tools each learner will be able to create simple web pages and manage graphs and charts originated from structured data.
Web technologies and the wide availability of data are pushing rapid changes, thus requirering suited representation mechnanisms.
Learning outcomes will be the following: Understanding web programming languages; Understanding data-driven communication.
Active lectures and hands-on labs.

At the end of the course, students will have to create a set of charts for an effective communication, applying the notions acquired during the theoretical lessons and using the tools illustrated in the practical exercises.
The exam is a computer-besed exercise. The exam exercise aims to proving that the students have acquired data visualization capabilities and skills in using the relevant tools.
Students with disabilities or learning disorders are allowed to use specific modalities and supports that will be determined on a case-by-case basis in agreement with the Delegate for the course in the Committee for the Inclusion of Students with Disabilities. Students are invited to contact the Delegate, who will inform the teacher.
