The student is expected to learn how to design outdoor areas, according to the indications and the training structure given by the main course, integrating elements of bioclimatic design of outdoor spaces such as to allow a reasonable prediction of performance with respect to hygrothermal comfort conditions and vision and the definition of detailed solutions attributable to the strategies for adaptation to climate change (in particular: reduction of the heat island phenomenon and rainwater management ).
The module is integrated with the design activity of the main course, the acquired knowledge will therefore be applied in the exercise to be carried out. The verification will therefore be related to the application of knowledge through the analysis of the design documents that will be developed
Lessons related to the preliminary/design assessment of the characteristics of the places designed with regard to the conditions of hygro-thermal and visual comfort, as well as the selection of materials and detailed solutions capable of reducing the effects of climate change (in particular heat island and management of rainwater), according to the principles of bioclimatic design for open spaces. The scientific principles and examples of practices will be illustrated with reference to the technical-scientific literature
the slides of the lessons will be delivered, which will also contain bibliographic references
