The course introduces the topic of public management.
The course develops the fundamental concepts, the theoretical frameworks and the exemplary cases to integrate different managerial skills in Public Administration and Healthcare. The course aims at providing knowledge to understand the processes and rules of operations in the public administrations and in the healthcare sector, to understand the needs of firms and citizens, to think in a project perspective, to recognize and overcome the traps of bureaucratic organizations, to measure the performances of public and healthcare organizations, to use innovation management tools in the context of public administration and healthcare.

Learning assessment takes place through an oral test, which consists of questions relating to the topics addressed during the course.
The oral exam will evaluate the ability to understand the theories underlying the approaches, methods and tools applicable in the context of publich management as well as the student's ability to think critically.
