OVERVIEW

The thesis of the master's degree in Diagnostic technical health professions sciences will consist of a report on an experimental or design research activity concerning one of the fields inherent to the purposes characterizing the master's degree course.

Have acquired the skills required by the course of study listed below: the master's degree course aims, in compliance with the qualifying objectives indicated for the class in the DM 8/1/2009, to deepen and acquire a more advanced level disciplinary-type skills relating to the profession of origin, integrating them with management-managerial and relational skills, to allow graduates to assume managerial and coordination roles within diagnostic technical structures in public and private health. The degree course also aims to train professionals able to follow the important scientific advances that are taking place in the field of diagnostics and to translate them into clinical practice, to also participate in research activities, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in the field of medical and health care professions. Finally, the course will focus on providing graduates with specific skills also in the field of training (in university and/or companies), so that they are able to organize the permanent updating activities of healthcare personnel in the field of diagnostic techniques and collaborate with other personnel training bodies.

PREREQUISITES

In order to be admitted to the final exam, the student must have attended all the teachings foreseen in the study plan and have passed all the exams and final evaluations of the foreseen internships.

LESSONS START

Attendance at the selected venues and the student's individual study for the preparation of the thesis will be agreed between the Supervisor and the graduating student by starting date and duration of attendance at the venue relating to the type of thesis.

EXAMS

EXAM DESCRIPTION

The final exam consists in the preparation and discussion of an experimental or theoretical-applicative thesis concerning the in-depth analysis of managerial, training, professional and applied research topics.

The thesis can be written and discussed in English.

The weighted average of the marks achieved in the curricular exams and the internship exams, the evaluation of the thesis during the discussion and the possible evaluation of other activities contribute to determining the degree mark (expressed in one hundred and ten with possible honors “cum laude”). by the regulation of the master's degree course.

The Commission will meet to decide the score to be attributed to each individual candidate. The participation of Speakers/Co-Speakers with the right to speak but not to vote will be permitted in the meeting. The President of the course of study will proclaim the graduating students by communicating the degree mark obtained.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

The Graduating student will present his/her work, in front of the specially appointed Commission, through a power point presentation lasting approximately 10 minutes. At the end of the discussion of the thesis, the Commission and/or the Supervisors/Co-supervisors will be able to ask in-depth questions on the work presented.

The candidate must demonstrate that he has acquired the skills set out and explained in the SUA form, section A4 (a-b-c-d).

FURTHER INFORMATION

The master's degree exam focuses on the discussion of a thesis elaborated in an original way by the student under the guidance of a supervisor at a University or external structure; if the supervisor is external to the University, a co-supervisor of the master's degree course must be indicated.
