The course aims to explore the concept of health, analysing its evolution on a theoretical level and providing a critical reading of the psychological and social processes involved in its construction. In particular, the themes of prevention and health promotion in educational, health and community contexts are dealt with. The concept of health is deepened by exploring lines of action, contexts and methodologies of intervention specific to psychology.
By the end of the course, the student should be able to: - define the key constructs of the discipline; - link the learned constructs to each other; - identify the main reference theories of the discipline - identify the discipline's main methodologies and intervention tools; - link theoretical knowledge to real contexts of application - critically reflect on one's own positioning in relation to the topics covered by the course - manage their social interactions in a collaborative manner
