CODE 90540 ACADEMIC YEAR 2024/2025 CREDITS 9 cfu anno 2 ECONOMIA E MANAGEMENT MARITTIMO E PORTUALE 8708 (LM-77) - GENOVA SCIENTIFIC DISCIPLINARY SECTOR SECS-P/10 TEACHING LOCATION GENOVA SEMESTER 2° Semester TEACHING MATERIALS AULAWEB OVERVIEW The course aims at introducing students to the main issues of organizational design, human resources management and organizational behavior with regard to shipping and logistics companies AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES The aim of the course is to provide students with the fundamental theoretical - interpretative keys and the basic tools for analyzing organizational dynamics, human resources management and organizational behavior in maritime transport companies. AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES At the end of the course, students will be able to know the fundamentals of organizational design, the logic of personnel management. They will know the steps necessary to develop an organizational design and the phases and the main management tools and will be able to use them appropriately. PREREQUISITES No prerequistes are requested, excluding business fundamentals TEACHING METHODS The course is taught in Italian. The first is focused on Aims and methods of organizational analysis Design choice and organizational architectures Organizational culture and cultural diversity Organizational change The second on Human resources management: issues, processes and tools People in organizations: job and role Organizational knowledge and internal communication Motivation and organizational performance Leadership and teamwork RECOMMENDED READING/BIBLIOGRAPHY No textbooks referring to the sectors covered by the course are available. Materials and suggested supports will then be delivered.
