Special focus will be on comparing data with the predictions of the theories. Attendance is strongly recommended. AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES The course of Economics of Financial Markets, taught in Italian, has the specific aim of providing the students both with theoretical and technical knowledge on the working of financial markets, with specific focus on the most recent theories and the debate among the different streams of thought. Specific attention will be dedicated to the impact of monetary policies on financial markets, to the creation and propagation of expectations and their impact on financial assets and their time structure. PREREQUISITES Undergraduate courses of Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. The overall mark is given by the average mark obtained in the two modules. ASSESSMENT METHODS Each of the two modules, "English for Business, Economics and Finance" and "Economia dei Mercati Finanziari (Economics of Financial Markets)" has its own assessments methods and the final mark is given by the average mark for each of the two (6 credits) modules.
