OVERVIEW

The field placement consists of a guided learning experience in the field, in real settings, aimed at acquiring and testing the skills of the specialist social worker.

Teacher supervision represents a specific tool of the social service field placement, as an accompaniment to the reflexivity and reworking of the experience.

The field placement supervision classes are aimed at providing the pre-knowledge necessary to field placement, in order to understand both the transformations taking place at the institutional and organizational level, and the functions and role exercised by the professional.

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The objectives refer to the acquisition of social service management methodologies

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

Attendance at introductory classes and field placement experience in a real-world setting for 250 hours will enable the student to:

- acquire skills in decoding complex needs of individuals, families, groups and the local area;

- acquire skills related to directing and/or coordinating services;

- know how to manage and organize resources in both public and private social settings;

- possess skills in design, planning, organization and managerial management in the field of policies, social and socio-health services, public and private social sector; analysis and quality evaluation of services, and services carried out.

TEACHING METHODS

Theoretical contributions and experiences of the departments will be presented during the lectures, making use of the collaboration of experienced professionals; classroom exercises will also be conducted.

Active involvement of students will be required in simulations aimed at experiencing situations typical of the MA's field placement (management of meetings and negotiations with technical, administrative, political referents).

The field placement courses will be monitored by the lecturer through periodic contacts and possible meetings with students and supervisors.

A practice-theory-practice circularity is sought in the teaching approach through reflective discussion of professional practices.
