The Business English module is intended to provide a B2 level of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference) with a special regard to the language of economics and business.
The student will acquire the lexical and structural elements used in the economic and business sectors and in order to be able to participate in conversations in the fields of reference.
Reaching a B2 level of English.
Having acquired a B1 level of English.
The B1 level of English must be certified when registering by uploading an approved and valid B1 or superior certificate to the webpage of the Linguistic skills development sector of the University. Alternatively students must pass the University's B1 level English language Assessment Test.
The module will be held in the first semester and will take place at the University Campus in La Spezia.
During the semester students will work mainly using material from internet sites and articles from newspapers and magazines that will be uploaded regularly on the Teams platform at the end of each lesson.

The exam will be written and oral at a B2 level. The written exam consists of reading comprehenion and definition matching, vocabulary exercises. The oral exam will consist of a conversation on the topics covered in class and present in the material uploaded on Teams.
