OVERVIEW

Gynecology and Obstetrics represent a fundamental and indispensable part of the medical and human sciences in the training path and in the achievement of the didactic objectives of this degree course

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Female reproductive anatomy and physiology. Basics of fetal development. Physiology and basics of pathologies related to pregnancy, childbirth and the puerperium. Contraception. Main gynecological diseases, including malignancies.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

At the end of the course the student must:

1) have notions of female physiology

2) have knowledge of physiological childbirth and the main obstetric complications

4) have knowledge on the main gynecological pathologies

TEACHING METHODS

frontal lessons

The course consists of theoretical / practical frontal lessons for a total of 10 hours (1 CFU)

Students with SLD, disability or other special educational needs certification are strongly encouraged to contact the teachers at the beginning of the course to agree on teaching methods that, in compliance with the teaching objectives, consider individual learning methods and provide suitable compensatory instruments.

EXAMS

EXAM DESCRIPTION

Oral or multiple choice. Score out of thirty attributed according to the degree of knowledge and training acquired.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

The exam is conducted with the aim of verifying the achievement of the expected learning outcomes: ability to apply knowledge using operational tools, communication skills through oral examination, initiation of training for interdisciplinary work and the specific role, development of insight skills through experience.

Students with SLD or with other regularly certified special educational needs will be able to agree with the teacher the written or oral modality, by contacting the teachers at least 10 days before the exam. They can also take advantage of 30% additional time.
