OVERVIEW

The seminar aims to provide students with information on methods and techniques to define an adequate rehabilitation treatment. Rehabilitation is a "development process of a person", aimed at realizing the entire potential (physical, psychological, social, professional, occupational, educational) compatible with anatomical or psychological impairments and environmental limitations.

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Know the principles of clinical reasoning in various osteo-articular pathologies, including hand problems, acquire the assessment knowledge for the applicability of the various techniques, learn the specific interventions and the main concepts of manual therapy. Knowing elements of occupational therapy and the main types and characteristics of existing prostheses, orthoses and aids. Learn hydrokinesitherapy and special massage therapy techniques with their main fields of application.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

REALISTIC OBJECTIVES: they are identified for the single person and these guide the various curative and assistance interventions, carried out with the method of "problem solving" and education, in order to reach the best possible level of life.

Problem solving refers to the study of the skills and processes involved in addressing the problems in a positive and effective way. It is a methodology that refers to activities in which they prevail: thinking, reasoning, making hypotheses and making choices.

At the end of the course the student must have acquired the ability to find solutions for the formulation of a rehabilitation program and optimal recovery.

TEACHING METHODS

The teaching is aimed at planning the rehabilitation intervention of various clinical cases for a total of 8 hours. The number of students / teachers ratio allows a direct comparison between teacher and learner and the possibility of collaborative teaching methodologies, discussion. The organization and dates of the seminar will be communicated by the teacher at the beginning of the lessons.

Students with certified LSD, disability or other special educational needs are encouraged to contact lecturers at the beginning of the course to agree on teaching methods that, while respecting the teaching objectives, take into account individual learning patterns and provide suitable compensatory tools

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

PEOBLEM SOLVING (eliminate the causes and answer the questions posed by the problem)

DECISION MAKING (decide how to act based on the answers obtained)

DECISION TAKING (take action)

FOCUS: create a list of problems, select the problem, verify and define the problem (WRITTEN DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM)

ANALYZE: decide what you need to know, collect the reference data, determine the relevant factors (REFERENCE VALUES AND LIST OF CRITICAL FACTORS)
