At the end of the course the student must: -1) Know the rehabilitation of the pelvic floor and uro-gynecology, in relation to the biopsychosocial model. -2) Describe the main functions/dysfunctions of the pelvic floor. -3) Know the main outcomes from post-prostatectomy surgery, and related physiotherapy. -4) Identify general and specific goals in perineal pelvis rehabilitation. -5) Evaluate and manage the patient in relation to the clinical history and the related phase of pathology. -6) Develop a therapeutic project, using the most suitable prevention, instrumental, manual and rehabilitation techniques for the individual patient. -7) Know the drug treatment. TEACHING METHODS Lectures for a total of 10 hours(1cfu). Simulations, theoretical-practical exercises, videos. Students will also have the opportunity to attend internships and/or workshops to implement their theoretical-practical knowledge. Students with certified LSD, disability or other special educational needs are encouraged to contact lecturers at the beginning of the course to agree on teaching methods that, while respecting the teaching objectives, take into account individual learning patterns and provide suitable compensatory tools SYLLABUS/CONTENT Presentation and knowledge of the perineum, anatomy of the bone, ligamentous, muscular, nervous and pelvic viscera structure. Fundamental functions of the pelvic floor (urinary, fecal, sexual, pelvic static, reproductive and biomechanical). Presentation of the physiology of urination and defecation. Knowledge of the most recent acquisitions in the biomechanical, neurophysiological and pathophysiological fields regarding perineal dysfunctions. Clinical examination of the patient (anamnestic collection, inspection, functional examination, interpretation of instrumental and bioimage examinations, clinical reasoning, differential diagnosis). The evaluation of the patient and the prescription of the physiotherapy program. The quality of life . Administration of tests and/or evaluation scales to evaluate the pelvic floor. Pelvic floor pathologies and related physiotherapy treatment. Definition and classification of urinary incontinence and related physiotherapy intervention. Male urinary incontinence, the patient post prostatectomy, surgical techniques and rehabilitation treatment. Definition and classification of fecal incontinence, constipation and related physiotherapy intervention. Chronic pelvic pain and related physiotherapy. Mention of possible sexual dysfunctions. Knowledge of drug therapy related to pelvic floor dysfunctions, evaluated by the multidisciplinary team (physiatrist, neurologist, gynecologist, urologist, proctologist, psychologist ...). The grade will be mediated with the evaluations obtained in the other disciplines of the I.C. Exam sessions will be available for the winter session (January - February) and for the summer session (June, July and September). ASSESSMENT METHODS It includes at least 2 questions asked by the teachers in charge of teaching. It will be directed to evaluate an appropriate knowledge of the topics covered in the module and in any case on all those specified in the program. Students with ASD or other special educational needs regularly certified can agree with the teacher the written or oral mode, contacting the teachers at least 10 days before the exam. They will also be able to take advantage of 30% of additional time.
