Especially the course aims to illustrate trauma orbital pathologies and endorbital expansive lesions for which the role of the Orthoptist is essential to a correct diagnostic and clinical path. TEACHING METHODS The course includes 10 hours of lessons with the use of computer equipment SYLLABUS/CONTENT Anatomy of the orbit: bone structures extrinsic musculature Clinical and diagnostic method for orbital pathology: diagnostic imaging Hess-Lancaster test clinical indications Symptoms, etiology and related pathologies: exophthalmos enophthalmos diplopia Expansive endorbital lesions: tumors of the orbit Besedow's disease surgical approaches Traumatology of the orbit: lateral orbital walls and orbital roof fractures orbital floor fractures nose orbital fractures zygoma complex fractures surgical approaches RECOMMENDED READING/BIBLIOGRAPHY Brusati R. “Elementi di Chirurgia Oro-maxillo-facciale” Ed.
