Knowledge and methods of care and taking charge of difficult patients and acquisition of formulating suitable therapeutic-rehabilitative projects:
- knowledge of the main psychiatric syndromes and the most suitable rehabilitation paths for each disorder
- knowledge and meaning of taking charge, legislation, professional risk situations
- ability to integrate knowledge with a critical approach, in order to formulate suitable rehabilitation projects that can be delivered over time, integrating different professionalism and knowledge
Lectures with presentation of clinical cases.
Any Student with documented Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), or with any special needs, shall reach out to the Lecturer(s) and to the dedicated SLD Representative in the Department before class begins, in order to liase and arrange the specific teaching methods and ensure proper achievement of the learning aims and outcomes.
Psychopathology of the main psychic functions, mood disorders and suicidal behavior, schizophrenia spectrum disorders, anxiety disorders, disorders related to traumatic events, obsessive-compulsive spectrum disorders, eating disorders, personality disorders, mental disorders due to substance use, psychiatric legislation, organization of services, TSO and forensic medicine issues.

Lessons take place in the first semester.
The exam is carried out orally. The exam is graded out of thirty and passing the exam is subject to obtaining a score of at least 18/30. Weighted average with the other modules of the integrated teaching/course.
The exam is developed with the aim of evaluating the learning of basic knowledge relating to the psychopathology of the main psychiatric disorders.
The exam will have the objective of ascertaining that the expected learning outcomes have been achieved through a critical evaluation of the knowledge acquired as well as through the candidate's ability to formulate possible solutions relating to specific psychopathological/psychiatric questions.
