AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The course aims to provide the theoretical and methodological knowledge of group psychology in a psychosocial perspective with particular attention to research and intervention strategies for the development and promotion of well-being in early childhood educational contexts. In particular we want to encourage the development of the ability to read and manage group dynamics, of the critical sense and of the ability to face the challenges posed by the promotion of well-being both individually and at group level, through the design of specific interventions . The course also aims to provide qualitative methodological skills useful for the analysis of group dynamics in educational contexts.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

In particular, the course aims, in a first part, to provide students with basic notions of group psychology while in the second part the teaching focuses on the promotion of well-being at individual and group level.

Individual study, attendance and participation in the proposed training activities will enable the student to:

acquire adequate theoretical and methodological knowledge of group psychology and well-being promotion;

apply their knowledge and understanding and solving problems related to the use of the group dimension in the workplace and for the promotion of well-being;

use, both conceptually and operative mode, the knowledge acquired with independent assessment skills and with skills in the various application contexts;

acquire the technical language typical of the discipline to communicate clearly and unambiguously with specialist and non-specialist interlocutors;

develop appropriate learning skills that allow them to continue to deepen independently the main topics of the discipline especially in the working contexts in which they will operate;

demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form and to adapt one's communication to the context;

demonstrate the ability to identify one's skills, demonstrate the ability to concentrate and critically reflect on a task, demonstrate management of complexity, autonomy in decision-making and task performance, stress management and resilience;

manage their social interactions in a collaborative manner, with constructive communication in different contexts;

demonstrate awareness of one's own learning strategies, being able to organise and evaluate one's own learning according to what has been learned.

TEACHING METHODS

Lectures, active methods, practical exercises and case studies. Structured activities of peer education,  world café, case study, simulations will be offered in the course.
