OVERVIEW

The course aims to provide specific knowledge on the physiological mechanisms that are the basis of the changes affecting the elderly.

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

To deepen the knowledge of the physiological processes of aging, propedeutic moment to the analysis of problems related to senescence, in particular the knowledge about muscle, endocrine, and homeostasis metabolism, with particular reference to adaptive aspects in different physiological conditions.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

Provide students the opportunity to develop knowledge of physiological causes and mechanisms that are the basis of senescence in the healthy individual.

TEACHING METHODS

Frontal lectures with power point presentations.

In case of certification of specific learning disability, disability or other special educational needs, please contact both the Mecial School  contact person and the lecturer at the beginning of the lectures to agree on teaching and exam methods which, in compliance of the teaching objectives, take into account individual learning methods and provide suitable compensatory/dispensatory tools recognized by the University SLD Student Service.
