Orthopedic Pathology of the Third Age is a fundamental part of the cultural and professional preparation of the graduate in Sciences and Techniques of Preventive and Adapted Physical Activity.
The pathologies of the musculoskeletal system of the elderly represent an important chapter in the future professional commitment of the graduate. Complete knowledge, appropriate to one's professional profile, of elective and traumatic musculoskeletal system pathologies in the geriatric age, is the target of the teaching module.
Deepening the clinical skills of the main pathological processes of the age of senescence, in the light of the basic knowledge in this field, with a specialized analysis of diseases of the locomotor system both of choice and traumatic, their disabling after-effects, the medical-surgical management of the problems themselves.
Acquire knowledge of the main pathologies of orthopedic interest, in their general and particular aspects, in geriatric age, with a look at diseases from fragility with particular attention to the osteometabolic problems of the spine and tracks that will constitute one of the most important professional topics.

Oral examination as part of the integrated assessment test with a grade that is weighted average with the other modules.
Students must demonstrate knowledge of the established program. The teacher will understand in the interview the possession of the discipline.
