OVERVIEW

The course includes the basic teaching of pathophysiology, diagnostics and therapy of the traumatology of the locomotor system with particular reference to patients with bone and muscle fragility. Particular area of expertise is addressed to osteoporotic fractures and tendon and ligamentous muscle lesions.

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The training objectives aim to acquire knowledge on the problems of traumatology of the elderly and the implications on the general health status of the same. , with particular reference to: -general trauma of the lower limb -traumatology of the spine, -traumatology of fragility, -principles of medical-surgical treatment of traumas of senescence, -socio-medical implications of the traumas themselves.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

Recognition of the most common traumatic pathologies of the fragile patient and consequent learning of possible motor activities aimed at prevention
