OVERVIEW

The Sports Management and Planning lessons will focus on application methodologies for starting a sports activity. Context analysis and SWOT Analysis of the various operational sports proposals. Sports Clubs, CONI, CIP, Sport&Health, Sports Federations etc. A careful analysis of the needs guided us towards a significant analysis regarding school sport, the organizational structure of a school, its functioning, the planning of a learning unit and the management system of school sporting events and beyond.

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Knowledge of the school world with the related reforms to orient yourself in school inclusion, know the role of the teacher and all the collegial bodies with their functions, be able to plan a learning unit.

The course provides the knowledge for the correct setup of a sports business in reference to the methods of designing structures, analyzing the quality system, budget planning, marketing strategies and analyzing results.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

  • Design and program a learning unit with all the characteristics required by school legislation from inclusion to evaluation
  • Know the types of Sports Associations
  • Know the guidelines for managing a SPA, advanced team building techniques
  • Manage the organization of a sporting event in different ways and specificities

TEACHING METHODS

Participatory frontal lesson with slide presentation.

Any Student with documented Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), or with any special needs, should contact the Lecturer(s) and to the dedicated SLD Representative in the Department before class begins, in order to liaise and arrange the specific teaching methods so that the learning aims and outcomes may be met.

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

Knowledge of the Italian and European dimension, the organizational modalities. National Sports Models and Individual Special features. Project planning in some management systems: Management roles. The computer system. The scheduler. Types of sporting competitions.

RECOMMENDED READING/BIBLIOGRAPHY

The slides used in the lessons will be given to the students via the web classroom and will constitute the reference teaching material. In them it will be possible to trace the bibliographic sources as well as the methods in which the students will be assessed.

Presentation of the paper with relative interview with the teacher.
